Job summary

PMI-Southern Alberta Chapter (PMI-SAC) in Calgary seeks an IT Project Manager to lead IT and Security projects, ensuring scope, schedule and budget objectives are achieved. You will partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to define project goals, deliverables and success criteria.

The role requires PMP certification with 10+ years of experience, and strong governance, risk and change management capabilities. Manage multiple concurrent projects and report to leadership.

Qualifications

• Must manage IT and security projects end-to-end across infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, and applications.
• Proven ability to apply Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid methodologies to complex programs.
• Strong governance, risk and stakeholder management across multiple initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of IT and Security projects, meeting scope, schedule and budget objectives.
• Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams and vendors to define goals and success criteria.
• Oversee project plans, schedules, budgets and resource allocations.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies; develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Ensure compliance with IT governance, cybersecurity and quality frameworks.
• Facilitate effective cross-team communication and executive reporting.
• Provide ongoing status updates and project performance metrics.
• Support change management and smooth handover to operations.
