Job summary

KPMG Canada’s Technology Assurance Services team is seeking a Senior Manager to guide IT assurance engagements in Vancouver, serving clients in financial services, technology, telecom, energy, and mining. You will lead IT audit procedures, risk assessments, and attestations, coordinating with client teams and ensuring high-quality deliverables.

The role requires 8+ years in IT audit, CPA/CA/CISA/CISSP or equivalent, and experience with CSAE 3416/SSAE 18, SAP/Oracle transformations, and business

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or computer science; an accounting major is preferred.
• CPA, CA, CISA, CISSP, or a combination of these designations.
• At least 8 years of relevant IT audit experience in a large consulting practice.
• Experience with integrated and controls-based audits, including CSAE 3416 or SSAE 18.
• Experience evaluating process-level controls in large SAP or Oracle transformation projects and testing controls across varied IT environments.
• External audit experience with clients in financial services, technology and telecom, or mining is required.
• Business development experience and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IT audit procedures, including IT risk assessments, general IT controls, application controls, system implementations, and data conversions.
• Conduct IT internal audit and third-party attestation engagements, including CSAE 3416, SSAE 18, SOC 1, and SOC 2 reports.
• Plan, manage, and complete audit project tasks; coordinate with client and KPMG teams; test and document processes and controls; and review the quality of others’ work.
• Communicate findings and recommendations and prepare advisory and assurance reports and related deliverables.
• Guide engagement teams, coach junior staff, and contribute to practice initiatives.
