Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking an IS/IT Auditor for our Technology Risk Assurance Group in Vancouver or Toronto. You will perform IT General Controls assessments for audits, document working papers, and collaborate with managers and junior auditors to ensure high quality service.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in external audit or risk advisory, a degree in accounting/business with a focus on tech, and strong problem solving and communication skills. CPA/CISA pathways encouraged.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of external audit, risk advisory, consulting or internal audit experience.
• Bilingual in English and French is a strong asset.
• University degree in accounting, business or commerce with a focus on technology.
• Experience in IT security or network operations is an asset.
• Pursuing CPA designation or ISACA CISA is encouraged.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments of IT General Controls for financial statement audits and prepare working papers.
• Collaborate with Managers to scope, budget, and review files prepared by junior IS/IT auditors.
• Review, document, evaluate, and test business processes and internal controls across industries.
• Develop client deliverables including risk assessments, analyses, recommendations, and reporting.
• Provide advice regarding recommendations for improvement and client service delivery.
• Collaborate with engagement teams to establish timelines and ensure high quality service.
• Assist Managers with business development proposals for clients.
