Job summary

KPMG Canada is seeking a Senior IT Audit Consultant in Vancouver to guide IT Assurance projects for Financial Services, Technology and Telecom, and Mining clients. You will manage engagements, mentor junior staff, and deliver IT audit and attestation services with a strong focus on controls testing.

Ideal candidates bring 1–2 years IT audit experience, CPA/CA/CISA/CISSP designations, and ability to work independently or in teams. Hybrid work model and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Computer Science required, ideally with accounting.
• Designation CPA/CA/CISA/CISSP preferred.
• 1–2 years IT Audit experience in a large consulting practice.
• Familiar with CSAE 3416/SSAE 18 audits and IT controls testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct IT audit procedures (risk assessments, ITGCs, IT application controls) for financial statement audits.
• Perform IT internal audit and third-party attestation engagements (CSAE 3416/SSAE 18/SOC 1).
• Plan, manage, and complete IT Audit tasks; liaise with client and KPMG teams; document IT controls and processes.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to clients in written and verbal form; prepare reports and deliverables.
• Guide field engagement teams and coach junior staff.
• Support knowledge sharing, training, HR initiatives, and practice management activities.
