Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Lead Insulator to relocate to Kamploops and join a leading mechanical contracting team. The role focuses on installing insulation on piping, ductwork, and equipment in commercial projects, with close collaboration to ensure safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have Red Seal or equivalent, 2+ years as lead hand, and the ability to read drawings and insulation schedules. The job is contract-to-hire and onsite in Vernon, BC with relocation support.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Insulator certification or similar experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a lead hand in mechanical insulation.
• Proficiency in installing insulation on hydronic heating, chilled water, domestic water piping, ductwork, and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, insulation schedules, and specifications.
• Physical capability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and perform lifting, kneeling, and overhead work.

Responsibilities

• Install insulation on hydronic heating, chilled water, domestic water, and duct systems.
• Apply vapour barriers and sealants.
• Fabricate and install metal jacketing and cladding.
• Read construction drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with other trades to maintain high-quality workmanship standards.
