Autism Services seeks an experienced leader to head its insulation division, overseeing field crews, apprentices, and a robust mix of industrial and commercial projects. Qualifications

  • Journeyman Heat and Frost Insulator certification required.
  • Red Seal endorsement preferred.
  • 5+ years of trade experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proven estimating and project management experience in industrial or commercial insulation.
  • Strong knowledge of insulation systems and metal jacketing/cladding applications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software an asset.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites.
  • Current safety tickets is an asset.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide overall leadership and direction for the insulation division, including field crews and apprentices
  • Estimate, quote, and secure insulation work for industrial, commercial, and oilfield clients
  • Plan and schedule projects, crews, equipment, and materials across multiple job sites
  • Monitor project budgets, productivity, and progress, and report on division performance
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards, client specifications, and applicable codes
  • Champion the company safety program, leading hazard assessments, toolbox talks, and incident follow-up
  • Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate journeypersons and apprentices, and support apprenticeship development
  • Build and maintain client relationships and pursue new business opportunities
  • Coordinate with other divisions on integrated project scopes (fabrication, coatings, modules)
  • Oversee division purchasing of insulation materials, jacketing, and consumables
