Job summary

Black Duck Software, Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead identity and access management platforms across SaaS products. You will architect, implement, and operate secure IAM/CIAM solutions with a focus on scalability and reliability for customers and internal teams.

You will mentor engineers, set engineering standards, and guide the adoption of AI-assisted development tools within secure software lifecycles.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years in software engineering with architecture and leadership.
Extensive IAM/CIAM design, implementation, and operation experience.
Hands-on with Auth0, Okta, Entra ID, Ping Identity or similar.
Deep knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, MFA and modern auth patterns.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and evolution of enterprise-scale identity solutions.
Own authentication, authorization, federation, and identity lifecycle management.
Design secure, scalable systems supporting multiple products and teams.
Provide architectural guidance and promote engineering best practices.
Collaborate with security, product, and operations to ensure reliability.
