Job summary

Bantrel Co. in Calgary, AB is seeking a Senior Control Systems (I&C) Engineer to lead complex industrial projects from Calgary.

You will develop and review advanced control systems deliverables, participate in critical technical reviews, and provide guidance to junior engineers and designers. The successful candidate will mentor project teams, coordinate multidisciplinary activities, and support project execution with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

15-20+ years of progressive Instrumentation & Control Systems engineering experience in industrial contexts.
Strong knowledge of control systems engineering practices, codes, and regulatory requirements.
Experience developing and reviewing complex control systems deliverables.
Experience leading technical reviews (HAZOP, LOPA, Alarm Rationalization).
Demonstrated ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

Lead preparation, review, and checking of complex control systems deliverables.
Participate in key technical reviews including P&ID, HAZOP, LOPA, and Alarm Rationalization.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, designers, and technicians.
Coordinate activities with engineering, procurement, construction, and client teams.
Ensure technical quality, schedule adherence, and deliverable success.
