Job summary

Worley is seeking a Senior to Principal Instrumentation Designer to provide expert I&C design leadership on major projects in Canada. You will develop and review P&IDs, loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, and control narratives while guiding design teams.

Based in Canada, you will collaborate with process, electrical, mechanical and automation disciplines, participate in HAZOP/LOPA studies, and support procurement, construction and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

Accredited Engineering Technology or related technical qualification required.
Significant experience in Instrumentation & Controls design on large multidisciplinary projects.
Strong knowledge of I&C design systems and document management tools such as SAP or KMS.

Responsibilities

Develop, coordinate, and review instrumentation design deliverables across the project lifecycle.
Provide technical guidance to designers and drafting teams.
Participate in project planning, progress reporting, and quality assurance activities.
Support scope definition and manage design changes per project processes.
Assist procurement, construction, and commissioning activities including vendor documentation and RFI responses.
Coordinate with process, electrical, mechanical, piping, and automation disciplines for integrated designs.
Identify discrepancies with client standards and requirements and resolve them.
Mentor junior designers and engineers to promote technical excellence.
