Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Hydrogeologist to join the Environmental Services team in Ontario, with primary location in Waterloo and potential for Markham. The role focuses on leading hydrogeology projects within multi-disciplinary teams, developing conceptual and field designs, and delivering high-quality client deliverables.

You will manage field investigations, interact with clients, and contribute to groundwater and surface water assessments, modeling, and regulatory compliance.

• Excellent written and verbal communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to mentor junior and intermediate staff.

Responsibilities

• Promote health and safety culture and participate in the program.
• Prepare proposals, develop work plans and budgets, manage projects/tasks.
• Develop preliminary hydrogeological models to support field design.
• Design and oversee hydrogeology field investigations, including intrusive work.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on baseline and impact assessments and modeling.
• Prepare technical reports and client presentations with findings and recommendations.
• Perform QA/QC of technical documents and deliverables.
• Travel to field sites as required, occasional overnight travel.
• Apply established practices, standards and guidelines.
