Job summary

Sacré-Davey is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong HVAC and refrigeration design experience for industrial and commercial projects in Canada.

The ideal candidate will be technically capable, self-directed, with excellent communication and initiative, and able to travel as needed. Experience in food & beverage or manufacturing is a plus. The role may be contract or full-time for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in mechanical engineering; P.Eng with EGBC is required.
• 5–10 years of HVAC and industrial refrigeration design experience.
• Experience with process P&IDs and coordinated civil/electrical design.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design and checking for HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• Develop plant equipment and piping layouts.
• Ensure deliverables meet codes, standards, and specs.
• Coordinate with discipline leads to resolve design issues.
• Support procurement through documentation and vendor bids.
• Provide design advice to CAD operators and maintain HSE focus.
