Job summary

WinSport Calgary is seeking a Senior HSE Advisor to provide expert guidance on health, safety, and risk management across venues. The role supports HSE and Operations teams, focusing on critical risks, investigations, and high-volume periods.

You will lead safety program implementation, risk assessments, and incident investigations, mentoring others in root cause analysis and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong communication and leadership are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management, Environmental, Emergency Response, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years safety experience.
• Strong understanding of Alberta OHS legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead Health and Safety Program Implementation across WinSport venues with policies and safe work practices.
• Oversee Hazard Identification and Risk Management, job hazard analyses, and safety procedures.
• Lead incident investigations, maintain documentation, and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate Emergency Preparedness, drills, and post-incident reviews.
• Oversee Contractor and Event Safety, inspect sites, and enforce safety plans.
• Maintain safety data in electronic systems and drive continuous improvement.
• Deliver safety training and communications, manage records and signage.
