Job summary

Powerfleet Inc. is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to support our U.S. and Canadian employee population.

Based in Canada, this role partners with leaders to drive organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, workforce planning, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with employment laws across both countries. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of HRBP experience, strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of progressive HRBP experience supporting US and Canadian employee populations.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian and US employment laws.
  • Experience advising senior leaders in a strategic capacity.
  • Experience managing complex employee relations and investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary HRBP for designated US/Canada units, providing strategic HR guidance.
  • Partner with leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategies.
  • Coach leaders on leadership effectiveness, team development, and organizational challenges.
  • Influence decisions with data-driven HR recommendations.
  • Lead employee relations, investigations, performance management and terminations.
  • Collaborate with Legal and HR leadership on complex issues to mitigate risk.
  • Support HR programs, policies, and compliance across North America.
  • Analyze workforce metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
