Job summary

EXP is seeking a Highway Design Lead in Calgary, AB to lead highway and corridor projects in Western Canada. The role involves coordinating with traffic, drainage, geotechnical, structural, environmental, utilities, and construction teams to deliver integrated road designs.

Ideal candidates bring 15+ years of highway design experience and PE registration (APEGA preferred). Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation/InRoads is required; leadership and client relationship skills are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 15+ years of highway/transportation design experience.
• Professional Engineer registration with APEGA preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation/InRoads.

Responsibilities

• Lead highway and corridor design assignments through planning, preliminary engineering, detailed design, tendering and construction support.
• Coordinate roadway designs with multidisciplinary teams (traffic, drainage, geotechnical, structural, environmental, utilities, active transportation).
• Provide senior technical leadership and oversee roadway design deliverables; mentor engineers and technicians.
