Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide leadership and oversight of capital and operating building infrastructure projects at healthcare sites. You will manage project life cycles, engage diverse stakeholders and ensure adherence to building codes, healthcare standards and municipal bylaws.

The role requires extensive experience in commercial or institutional construction and the ability to mentor the project team while aligning with AHS strategies.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial or institutional construction project management experience in a large organization.
• Knowledge of provincial, regional, and municipal bylaws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Experience managing professional and unionized staff; strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor project teams and manage stakeholders under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project lifecycle from development and initiation through planning, design, execution, monitoring and closing to achieve objectives.
• Direct and manage project resources and ensure safety, quality and compliance with codes and healthcare standards.
• Provide leadership, mentorship and advisement to Program Manager on project planning and development.
