Job summary

Stantec’s Buildings team in Calgary seeks an experienced Senior Health Architect to lead complex healthcare projects. You will guide planning, programming, design, documentation, and construction administration while translating clinical needs into practical architectural solutions.

The role emphasizes design leadership, healthcare planning, and collaboration with clients, clinical users, and project teams to deliver safe, resilient, and sustainable facilities across the Prairies and Territories.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) is required.
• Registration as an Architect in Alberta or ability to obtain via reciprocity is required.
• PMP, LEED accreditation, or comparable credentials are assets.

Responsibilities

• Guide healthcare projects from early planning through close-out.
• Translate clinical and operational priorities into architectural solutions.
• Align scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and design intent with leadership.
• Coordinate integrated design teams and apply QA/QC and BIM processes.
• Support meetings, workshops, pursuits, and portfolio development.
• Mentor team members and contribute to market-facing materials.
