Job summary

Pinchin in Greater Toronto Area is seeking a Project Technologist / Senior Project Technologist to join our Hazardous Materials team. The role focuses on inspections, reporting, and client collaboration to improve health, safety, and environmental outcomes.

Salary range CAD 55,000–65,000 with growth opportunities. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will conduct assessments, prepare technical reports, and support business development while upholding Pinchin’s commitment to excellence and client

Qualifications

• Strong technical foundation in hazardous materials (asbestos, mould, lead, PCBs).
• Experience reading architectural drawings and interpreting specs.
• Knowledge of environmental health and safety legislation/guidelines.
• Ability to work with field equipment and collect samples.
• Willingness to travel and work outside core hours.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments for hazardous materials and workplace exposures.
• Conduct client interviews and inspect building systems.
• Prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
• Inspect abatement work to ensure proper completion.
• Collect and analyze asbestos PCM samples.
• Business development and client relationship maintenance.
• Mentor junior staff as needed.
