Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in construction technology, architectural technology, occupational health and safety/hygiene, or indoor air quality.
  • 3–5 years' experience providing hazardous materials consulting and project management for a large national client.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience as a Project Technologist performing hazardous materials assessments, abatement inspection and air monitoring, etc.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills; ability to write, review, and edit reports and other written communications.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Professional verbal communication skills.
  • Availability to work outside or core business hours.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance and car are required (travel compensated).

Responsibilities

  • Lead hazardous materials projects from proposal through completion, managing client relationships and project delivery.

Pinchin is seeking a Project Manager to join our Hazardous Materials team in Sudbury, ON. The existing role reports to the Team Leader.

Role Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will lead hazardous materials projects from proposal through completion, managing client relationships, project delivery, team development, and financial performance. Working closely with clients and project staff, you will provide technical guidance, ensure quality standards are met, support business development initiatives, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the Hazardous Materials team.

Your Impact
  • Prepare proposals for hazardous materials investigations and remediation/abatement work
  • Oversee/perform hazardous materials consulting projects, including assessments, contract preparation and remediation/abatement work
  • Assume financial responsibility for assigned projects
  • Responsible for business development with existing clients
  • Maintaining and enhancing quality control within the group
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring Project Technologists in their job functions
What You'll Bring to Pinchin
  • Post-secondary education in any of the following: construction technology, architectural technology, occupational health and safety/hygiene, indoor air quality.
  • 3 - 5 years' experience providing hazardous materials consulting and project management for a large national client.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a Project Technologist performing hazardous materials assessments, abatement inspection and air monitoring, preparing asbestos management plans, proposals for consulting services and contract documents.
  • Excellent technical report writing skills - ability to write, review, and edit reports and other written communications
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite

  • Availability to work outside or core business hours
  • Valid driver's license, insurance and car are required (work-related travel will be compensated)
