Job summary

Pinchin Canada in Dartmouth, NS, is seeking a Project Technologist – Hazardous Materials to support project teams while building technical skills in hazardous materials. The role involves field assessments, data collection, and translating findings into clear recommendations that help clients create safer, healthier spaces.

You will conduct site investigations for asbestos, mould, mercury, PCBs, and lead; collect air samples; supervise subcontractors; and prepare detailed reports.

Qualifications

• Experience collecting and analyzing building material samples.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to interpret field data into clear recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site investigations for asbestos, mould, mercury, PCBs and lead.
• Collect and analyze PCM asbestos air samples per guidelines.
• Perform field work including site visits and remediation inspections.
• Supervise subcontractors on project activities.
• Prepare detailed reports with findings and recommendations.
• Coordinate project activities and manage time effectively.
• Maintain health and safety compliant client liaison.
• Provide technical insight and documentation to project teams.
