Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in group insurance underwriting.
• In-depth knowledge of the group insurance market.
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excels at organization, prioritization and time management.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.

Responsabilités

• Contributing to the assessment of financial risk in group insurance by: determining rates and preparing quotes for prospective clients; determining rates for existing client renewals; assessing the impact of contract amendments on pricing.

What you’ll accomplish with us

As a Group Insurance Underwriter, you will be at the heart of our mission. Reporting to the Underwriting Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

• Contributing to the assessment of financial risk in group insurance by: Determining rates and preparing quotes for prospective clients Determining rates for existing client renewals Assessing the impact of contract amendments on pricing
• Building strong relationships with various stakeholders, including Sales and Actuarial teams
• Contributing to the development of junior underwriters through guidance, mentoring and coaching
• Collaborating with the team to ensure that underwriting tools and approaches support profitable business growth and participating in continuous improvement initiatives
