Job summary

Ciena in Ottawa is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the CQRA team within FP&A, focusing on current-quarter revenue assurance, forecast accuracy, and cross-functional alignment.

You will consolidate bookings, analyze trends, and develop KPI reports using Excel, PowerPoint, Anaplan, and Power BI, while coordinating with global teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance (FP&A) or related field.
• 6+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within time-sensitive environments.
• Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint to create analyses and executive summaries.

Responsibilities

• Perform CQRA analysis covering orders, revenue, and margin updates.
• Consolidate and reconcile monthly bookings with regional teams.
• Manage historical metrics and analyze trends to inform future activity.
• Conduct bridge analysis across forecast, results, and budget comparisons.
• Identify forecast risk, opportunities, and movements across operations.
• Drive process and tool improvements to increase forecast accuracy.
• Leverage AI tools to generate KPI reporting and forecasting insights.
