Job summary

Thurber Engineering Ltd. invites an Intermediate to Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Geoscientist - Geohazards to join our Calgary team.

The role involves leading projects, guiding staff, and delivering geotechnical analyses across diverse sectors in western Canada. Ideal candidates hold a post-secondary degree in Civil/Geological Engineering or Geoscience, 8+ years of relevant experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English communication (verbal and written).
• Valid Class 5 Driver's license; capable of driving mid to full-sized pickups.
• Strong organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Membership with APEGA and/or EGBC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects and staff; review calculations and analyses.
• Support cost estimates, tender submissions, technical docs, and client reports.
• Scope projects and assist in proposals; mentor staff.
• Develop client relations and pursue new opportunities for Thurber.
