Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Geoscientist to join their technical team in Kimberley. This pivotal role involves interpreting seismic, well logs, and geological data to identify hydrocarbon plays and develop integrated subsurface models.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in exploration geoscience, with strong seismic interpretation, modeling expertise, and excellent communication skills for collaboration with reservoir engineers and JV partners.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or related Earth Science field.
• 10+ years' experience in exploration geoscience with emphasis on seismic interpretation and modeling.
• Proficiency with Petrel, GeoGraphix, and Kingdom.
• Experience with prospect generation, play fairway analysis, and resource estimation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Interpret seismic, well log, and geological data to identify hydrocarbon plays and prospects.

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Geoscientist to join their technical team in Kimberley . This pivotal role involves the interpretation and integration of geological and geophysical data to identify and evaluate hydrocarbon potential within exploration and development assets. You will work with advanced subsurface imaging technologies and play a key part in subsurface modeling and risk assessment for the Oil & Gas industry . The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of exploration workflows, and a proven ability to contribute to successful exploration campaigns. This position offers the chance to work on diverse geological plays within a well-established company.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze seismic, well log, and geological data to identify potential hydrocarbon plays and prospects.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in the Oil & Gas sector , preferably with exposure to projects in or near Kimberley .
