Placements24 is seeking an experienced Process Safety Engineer to support operations in the Kimberley region. You will identify, assess, and manage process risks within oil and gas facilities, developing and implementing robust process safety management systems.

You will conduct PHAs, develop PSM programs, review facility designs, investigate incidents, and train teams on process safety principles, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk reduction in a collaborative energy sector role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process safety engineering, preferably in oil and gas.
• In-depth knowledge of PHA methodologies and risk assessment techniques.
• Familiarity with API and NFPA standards.
• Strong understanding of safety-critical equipment and hazardous area classifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP, LOPA, and What-If studies.
• Develop and maintain Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
• Review designs for new facilities and modifications to existing ones to ensure process safety is integrated.
