Placements24 seeks a Senior Geneticist to lead critical research on genetic mechanisms in Kimberley. Design and execute complex experiments, analyze genomic data, and develop novel diagnostic or therapeutic approaches with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Genetics or Molecular Biology, with 5+ years of post-doctoral or industry experience, and strong skills in PCR, sequencing, cloning, gene editing, and bioinformatics. Excellent communication for publications required.

Qualifications

• PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology or closely related field.
• Minimum 5 years post-doctoral or industry experience in genetic research.
• Proven expertise in molecular genetics techniques (PCR, sequencing, cloning, gene editing).
• Experience with genomic data analysis using bioinformatics tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments on gene function, genetic variation, and disease mechanisms.
• Analyze large-scale genomic data using bioinformatics and statistics.
• Develop new genetic assays and experimental protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary researchers to advance projects.
