Job summary

Kingston Health Sciences Centre is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Geneticist in Genome Diagnostics within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. The role includes case interpretation, technical oversight, quality systems, test development, teaching and consultation across a broad range of constitutional, prenatal, pediatric, and adult genetic disorders.

The successful candidate will collaborate with medical staff, laboratory scientists, and clinical partners to deliver timely,

Qualifications

• Fellow, board-certified or board-eligible by FCCMG or ABMGG.
• Experience in constitutional, somatic genetics, molecular and cytogenomic testing.
• Satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search.

Responsibilities

• Triage, review, interpretation, and reporting of genetic tests.
• Consultative support for physicians and other health care providers.
• Quality assurance, validation and implementation of new technologies.
• Academic teaching and trainee supervision where applicable.
