Placements24 seeks a Senior Geneticist to lead critical research on genetic mechanisms in Kimberley. Design and execute complex experiments, analyze genomic data, and develop novel diagnostic or therapeutic approaches with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a PhD in Genetics or Molecular Biology, with 5+ years of post-doctoral or industry experience, and strong skills in PCR, sequencing, cloning, gene editing, and bioinformatics. Excellent communication for publications required.

• Minimum 5 years post-doctoral or industry experience in genetic research.
• Proven expertise in molecular genetics techniques (PCR, sequencing, cloning, gene editing).
• Experience with genomic data analysis using bioinformatics tools.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Geneticist to lead critical research initiatives focused on understanding and manipulating genetic mechanisms in Kimberley . This role involves designing and executing complex genetic experiments, analyzing genomic data, and contributing to the development of novel diagnostic or therapeutic approaches. You will work within a cutting-edge laboratory environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of scientists. The successful candidate will demonstrate a profound understanding of genetics, molecular biology, and advanced analytical techniques, driving scientific discovery and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and conduct experiments related to gene function, genetic variation, and disease mechanisms.
