Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Development Engineer in Canada to own features end-to-end—from design through production. You will partner with Product, Design, and engineers to build trusted payment systems.

You will lead technical design, mentor peers, and raise the engineering bar with reliable, secure, observable systems. A hybrid work model from the office is available.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in system design, data modeling, API design and service reliability.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Mentoring engineers and contributing to team technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end from design through production.
• Lead technical design and break down complex problems.
• Write high-quality, well-tested code and reviews.
• Mentor peers and uphold Remitly's technical standards.
• Operate production systems and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and other engineering teams.
