Job summary

HRB is seeking a skilled Full Stack Engineer to join our Toronto-based team, focusing on features for a web application that enhances how individuals manage significant expenses. You will own features across the stack, from database design to frontend deployment, delivering production-grade systems for real transactions.

Responsibilities include building end-to-end features on a Next.js app, implementing payment processing, REST APIs, and data modeling with PostgreSQL and Firestore.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience building production web applications.
• Strong backend with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proficient in React and modern frontend (Next.js a plus).
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end features on a Next.js web application.
• Build payment processing functionalities and integrations with banking systems.
• Design and implement REST APIs for frontend integration.
• Create responsive, accessible UIs with React and Tailwind CSS.
• Model data in PostgreSQL and Firestore; write tested code.
• Collaborate with product/design/mobile teams and participate in on-call rotations.
