Job summary

TD Securities is seeking a Senior Full-stack Engineer in Toronto to build a next-generation risk computation platform for external exposure management. You will design and implement scalable backend services, integrate large data pipelines, and collaborate with global teams across trading and risk management.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical leadership, modern DevOps practices, and a focus on performance, reliability, and quality within a fast-paced financial services environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Java experience with strong JVM understanding.
• Spring Boot microservices experience.
• Big Data technologies such as Databricks, Hadoop, Spark.
• Experience designing and integrating REST API endpoints.
• Fluent SQL with RDBMS.
• Git, CI/CD with Maven/Gradle, Jenkins in Agile env.
• Strong understanding of system design and scalability.
• Knowledge of monitoring solutions and KPIs.
• Nice-to-have: Kafka messaging; cloud experience (Azure/AWS/GCP).

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver end-to-end solutions with overall technical design responsibility.
• Lead the implementation of scalable, back-end and data-heavy components for a risk platform.
• Collaborate with global teams across trading, treasury and risk management.
• Develop tooling and processes to improve team efficiency.
• Contribute to TD Tech direction and ensure robust DevOps practices.
