Job summary

TD Bank Group is seeking a Senior IT Developer to build and maintain Java/Springboot applications in Toronto. You will own end-to-end development, collaborate with business stakeholders, and help shape the technical roadmap while ensuring scalable, secure payment platforms.

The role requires hands-on coding, strong Java expertise, Spring framework mastery, and experience with Kafka and CI/CD tools. This is an on-site opportunity with opportunities for growth within TD Securities’ technology

Qualifications

• 7+ years development and End to End design experience (J2EE, Java 17/21)
• 7+ frameworks like Spring, Spring MVC, Spring boot, Spring Security, Spring cloud config server, Spring scheduler, Spring batch
• 5+ years RESTful API
• 3+ years database knowledge (Oracle, DB2, stored procedures)
• 2+ years Kafka (KStream/producer-consumer)
• Hands-on with Maven, Jenkins, Gradle, Git, Nexus
• Experience with AI tools like Co-pilot

Responsibilities

• Application development activities with Java/Springboot
• Contribute code and lay foundation for features for junior developers
• Collaborate with tech and business stakeholders to gather requirements
• Coordinate development across projects
• Debug production issues and improve maintainability
• Ensure platforms are reliable, scalable, secure, and extensible
• Work autonomously on diverse activities (design, support)
• Participate in complex apps and systems development
• Propose solution options
• Support knowledge management and reuse of components
• Address issues impacting integrity of the application
