Job summary

Jobs in JS in Vancouver is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help build a scalable cloud-based HR/payroll platform for the hourly workforce. You will partner with Product Managers and engineers to deliver well-scoped features and promote TDD, ensuring high-quality software.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, PHP, or JavaScript, with experience developing full-stack, high-performance, and high-availability applications.
• Experience with building scalable systems and test driven CI/CD commitment to quality software development.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB, have comprehensive understanding of the decision-making process between SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms such as Redis or Memcached.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Demonstrated experience in designing distributed systems with a holistic perspective.
• Keep up with the latest technological trends and continuously improve productivity.

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our growing engineering team.

This is a full-time, hybrid position with 2 days a week, every Tuesday and Thursday in-office to support close cross-functional collaboration.

Day In The Life

• You are a seasoned Full Stack Engineer with a strong background in full-stack application development.

Who You Are

• Strong foundation in programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience with building scalable systems and test driven CI/CD commitment to quality software development.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB, have comprehensive understanding of the decision-making process between SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms such as Redis or Memcached.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Demonstrated experience in designing distributed systems with a holistic perspective.
• Keep up with the latest technological trends and continuously improve productivity.
