Job summary

Workstream is a mission-driven company delivering an all-in-one HR, payroll, and hiring platform for hourly workforces. We seek a talented Full Stack Engineer to join our growing engineering team in a hybrid role with in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays.

You will collaborate with product and engineering leaders to design, implement, and ship scalable software while practicing TDD and writing clean, maintainable code. Excellent communication in English is essential for cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong foundation in programming principles and design patterns.
• Experience with building scalable systems and test driven CI/CD commitment to quality software development.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL or MongoDB, have comprehensive understanding of the decision-making process between SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of caching mechanisms such as Redis or Memcached.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Demonstrated experience in designing distributed systems with a holistic perspective.
• Keep up with the latest technological trends and continuously improve productivity.
• Nice To Have: Experience with NextJS or other front end technologies

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our growing engineering team.

This is a full-time, hybrid position with 2 days a week, every Tuesday and Thursday in-office to support close cross-functional collaboration.

Day In The Life

Salary Range

In compliance with the California Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is between $190,000 CAD to $230,000 CAD ( $140,000 to $170,000 USD). This range is not inclusive of our discretionary bonus or equity package. When determining a candidate’s compensation, we consider a number of factors including skillset, experience, job scope, and current market data.
