Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to re-platform legacy reporting logic into a modern web application using Java on the backend and Angular on the frontend. You will design REST APIs, migrate existing WebFOCUS logic, and deploy in Azure, contributing to an OPS-aligned, scalable solution.

The role requires 8+ years in large-scale production apps with Java and 5+ years in Angular, along with strong SQL skills and CI/CD experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing large-scale production business applications using Java for backend/API development.
• 5+ years of experience with Angular (or comparable modernJS/TS framework) for front-end development.
• Demonstrated ownership of end-to-end solution architecture across the full stack.
• Depth and breadth of hands-on full stack delivery will be weighted heavily.
• Strong experience with relational databases and SQL; ability to refactor reporting logic.

Responsibilities

• Migrate and re-platform existing logic (e.g., WebFOCUS) into a modern application.
• Design, build, and document REST API services.
• Develop and integrate Angular front-end with API services.
• Deploy and support applications in Microsoft Azure environment.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery and OPS-focused workflows.
