Job summary

Magna is seeking a senior software engineer to design and implement cloud-native, full‑stack applications for connected manufacturing systems in a global mobility technology setting.

You will lead architecture decisions, mentor developers, and collaborate with data engineers, product owners and stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

Based in Brampton, ON, this full-time role offers career growth, exposure to IoT and industrial data, and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of related experience.
• Experience building modern full‑stack web applications.
• Experience with APIs and backend services.
• Cloud-native application development experience.
• Experience with relational and non-relational data stores.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and source control.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and implementation of complex application features.
• Make architecture and design decisions balancing business needs, scalability, maintainability, and delivery timelines.
• Mentor developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and engineering best practices.
• Drive software quality through automated testing, observability, security, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders on solution delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across application, infrastructure, data, and integration layers.
