Job summary

Magna is seeking a student/Co-Op IT support role in Vaughan, Canada. You will monitor security of computers and mobile devices, assist with IT projects, support business applications, phones and hardware, and set up devices and networks.

The role requires a post-secondary IT degree/diploma (or 2nd year), strong English, analytical skills, familiarity with Office 365, SQL, Power BI and scripting, and an interest in technology.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree/diploma or equivalent in IT with at least second year completed.
• Excellent English communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with computers, printers, cell phones and network switches.
• Familiarity with Office 365 and other business applications.
• Familiarity with SQL, Power Apps, Power BI, and scripting.
• A definite interest in technology, computer hardware & software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure security compliance of computers and mobile devices.
• Support testing (functional/integration) and Go Live preparation for IT projects.
• Support users with business applications, phones and hardware.
• Setup and maintain hardware including scanners, printers, copiers, cell phones and computers.
• Responsible for setup, troubleshooting and maintenance of business applications.
• Responsible for documenting and maintaining phone lists, IP addresses etc.
• Provide backup support for Systems Administrators to resolve user or production issues.
• Ensure that all Systems procedures are carried out in accordance with the Mytox BOS manual.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace in IT areas using effective housekeeping practices.
• Provide on-call technical support and on-site technical support for Mytox Personnel outside of regular business hours as required.
