Job summary

Capital One Canada seeks a Senior Associate, French Translation Specialist to ensure high‑quality Canadian French localization of internal communications and customer content, with strong attention to grammar, tone and regulatory compliance.

In this collaborative role, you will translate, edit and review materials, maintain style guides, use Trados Enterprise, collaborate with business partners, and ensure deliverables are accurate and on brand.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of localization/translation experience.
• Strong command of Canadian French (grammar, punctuation and spelling).
• Understanding of cultural nuances within French-speaking Canada.
• Familiarity with localization best practices for diverse content types.

Responsibilities

• Providing high-quality French translations and localization of English content, collaborating with the process team and external language service providers when required.
• Revising French content to ensure consistency with brand standards, editorial guidelines and guidance from legal and compliance.
• Reviewing French experiences to ensure alignment with the English intent and Enterprise-level requirements.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of localization technology and industry standards.
• Utilizing Trados Enterprise for receiving, completing and delivering localization work.
• Advocating best practices for localization and educating stakeholders on quality benefits.
• Advocating for clear, plain language for customers and internal users.
• Maintaining understanding of products, marketing language, legal disclosures, and Enterprise content.
