Job summary

Innovatia Content Solutions is seeking an experienced English‑to‑Canadian French translator to support the creation and review of learning content within a large enterprise learning environment.

This role sits within a Learning Content team and collaborates with instructional designers, content creators, SMEs, and corporate translation partners to ensure French QA, natural Canadian French, and consistent terminology across eLearning modules and related materials.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional English-to-Canadian French translation experience.
• Native or near-native proficiency in Canadian French (Quebec French).
• Experience editing and performing linguistic QA on translated content.
• Exceptional grammar, syntax, style, and usage in Canadian French.
• Experience with terminology databases, style guides, and translation standards.
• Strong proofreading and quality-control skills.
• Ability to maintain consistency across large content sets.
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders, reviewers, and SMEs.
• Familiarity with eLearning development tools such as Storyline and Rise.

Responsibilities

• Translate English learning content into natural, professional Canadian French.
• Review translations for linguistic accuracy, consistency, readability, and terminology.
• Compare English source content and translated content to identify omissions, inaccuracies, and meaning shifts.
• Review AI‑generated French narration for pronunciation, pacing, cadence, naturalness and learner experience.
• Edit and proofread translated content to ensure quality and consistency.
• Apply approved terminology and corporate language standards.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, writers, SMEs, and translation stakeholders.
• Translate and review eLearning modules, facilitator guides, learner materials, presentations, and supporting documentation.
• Support ad hoc translation requests under tight timelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of translation and QA processes.

This role sits within a Learning Content team and works closely with instructional designers, content creators, subject matter experts, and corporate translation partners with a focus on:

• French linguistic quality assurance (QA)
• Review of French narration
• Small to medium English‑to‑Canadian French translation requests

You should understand how learning content works so you can preserve learning objectives, instructional flow, assessment intent, and learner experience throughout the translation process.

What you’ll do

• Translate English learning content into natural, professional Canadian French
• Review French translations for linguistic accuracy, consistency, readability, and terminology
• Compare English source content and translated content to identify omissions, inaccuracies, and meaning shifts
• Review AI‑generated French audio narration for:
• Pronunciation
• Pacing
• Cadence
• Naturalness
• Overall learner experience
• Edit and proofread translated content to ensure quality and consistency
• Apply approved terminology and corporate language standards
• Collaborate with instructional designers, writers, SMEs, and translation stakeholders
• Translate and review eLearning modules, facilitator guides, learner materials, presentations, and supporting documentation.
• Support ad hoc translation requests under tight timelines
• Contribute to continuous improvement of translation and QA processes

What you bring

• 5+ years of professional experience translating from English into Canadian French
• Native or near-native proficiency in Canadian French (Quebec French)
• Professional experience translating from English into Canadian French
• Demonstrated experience editing and performing linguistic QA on translated content
• Exceptional command of grammar, syntax, style, and usage in Canadian French
• Experience working with terminology databases, style guides, and translation standards
• Strong proofreading and quality‑control skills
• Ability to maintain consistency across large content sets
• Experience collaborating with stakeholders, reviewers, and SMEs
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Experience delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines
• Familiarity with eLearning development tools such as Storyline and Rise

Bonus points if you have

• Experience translating learning, training, or eLearning content
• Familiarity with instructional design concepts and adult learning principles
• Experience reviewing AI‑assisted translations or AI‑generated narration
• Experience with CAT tools, AI‑assisted translation, or AI‑generated narration review
• Familiarity with enterprise terminology databases
• Experience working in financial services, banking, insurance, healthcare, or other regulated environments
