Job summary

Norton Rose Fulbright Canada is seeking a Finance Analyst for its Toronto-based team. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and partnering with leaders to drive financial insights.

You will develop advanced financial models, build dashboards in Power BI and Tableau, and deliver management reports. A CPA designation plus 3+ years of experience in FP&A or corporate finance is preferred. Hybrid work arrangement offered.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting designation (CPA preferred) with 3+ years of FP&A or related experience.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive projects to completion.
• Excellent relationship-building and collaboration across functions and locations.
• Continuous learning mindset with ability to adopt new technologies and tools.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Budgeting & Forecasting – Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial outlooks.
• Financial Performance Analysis – Monitor results against budget and forecast, identify variances.
• Profitability Analysis – Analyze profitability across clients, matters, and business units.
• Business Partnering – Collaborate with FP&A Managers and business leaders for insights.
• Financial Modeling – Develop complex models for scenario planning and investments.
• Management Reporting – Present financial performance to practice leaders and leadership.
• Data Analytics & Reporting – Leverage data to create meaningful reports and tools.
• Dashboard Development & Automation – Enhance Power BI, Tableau dashboards and tools.
• Process Improvement – Improve budgeting, forecasting and reporting processes.
• Policy Support & Ad Hoc Analysis – Contribute to policy development and ad hoc analyses.
