Job summary

Altis partners with a large healthcare organization in Toronto to recruit a Senior Financial Planning Analyst. This permanent role blends FP&A, accounting, analysis, and business partnership within a complex environment.

Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, you will manage budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for a designated portfolio, perform month-end close and variance analysis, and build financial models to support executive decisions.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of progressive FP&A, financial analysis, or related finance experience.
• CPA designation or active enrolment in the CPA program.
• At least 1–2 years of hands-on accounting experience, with budgeting, forecasting, and business-partnering expertise.
• Advanced Excel and data-analysis skills, including experience with large datasets and complex financial systems.
• Oracle experience is an asset; other ERP experience is acceptable.
• Healthcare or complex organizational background is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for an assigned portfolio while contributing to organization-wide planning.
• Complete month-end reporting, reconciliations, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and detailed variance analysis.
• Independently investigate material variances exceeding $50,000 and explain the underlying business drivers.
• Prepare business cases, program-funding analysis, and practical financial models to support decision-making.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify financial risks, opportunities, and emerging needs.
• Analyze large datasets using Oracle and other financial reporting tools.
• Support internal controls and compliance with applicable accounting standards and policies.
