Job summary

Viking Fire Protection Inc in Cambridge, ON is seeking a Senior Fire Alarm Technician to lead programming, inspection and maintenance of fire alarm systems. The role requires performing upgrades and troubleshooting, with duties including deficiency reports and emergency response on a rotational basis.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma in Fire Protection Technology, 5 years of experience, and CFAA is a plus. Valid driver s license and Notifier product knowledge are assets as the company offers

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Fire Protection Technology or equivalent training.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in service and inspection of fire alarm systems.
  • CFAA certification is an asset.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge of programming fire alarm systems.
  • Valid drivers license.

Senior Fire Alarm Technician

Location : Cambridge, ON Salary : $35 - $55 per hour

Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Senior Fire Alarm Technician ensures programming, inspection, maintenance, and emergency service of fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Programming, inspection, service and troubleshooting of existing fire alarm systems.
  • Performing upgrades, repairs, additions or improvements to systems following inspection.
  • Preparation of inspection, and deficiencies reports in a timely manner.
  • Respond to emergency calls during evenings and weekends, on a rotational basis.
  • Other inspection and/or deficiency tasks as needed.
Success Factors

Diploma in Fire Protection Technology/Technologist or other relevant training.

  • 5 years of relevant experience in service and inspection of fire alarm systems.
  • CFAA certification (strong asset).
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Working knowledge in programming fire alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of Notifier products (an asset).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to work well independently.
