Job description

Our client, a leading financial institution in Downtown Toronto, is looking for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst to maintain the Platform /FRR issue tracker for testing and resolution before and after Go Live. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada.

Typical Day in Role:

1. Assist with UAT and PIV related items before the Go Live.
2. Coordinate with IT / FSS on issues during testing.
3. Assist with TM1 reconciliation, including manually creating disclosure documents for reconciliation with EPM.
4. Assist with uploads for monthly and Go Live submissions.
5. Document processes and technical procedures, including FRR documentation and creating views in TM1.
6. Prepare issues and solutions documentation.
7. Implement and document processes for manual controls handled by FRR, exploring alternative approaches to noted issues.

User Access:

• Maintain the user master file.
• Monitor user lists beyond Q3 if needed, using data from FSS, ensuring submitters and approvers are the same person to enforce controls.

Must-Have Skills:

• TM1 (functionality of EPM) or equivalent finance systems.
• PeopleSoft.
• Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel) - Advanced skills.
• 3+ years of experience with IT projects, financial instruments, and data analysis.
• Control documentation experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Financial background or experience in Big 4 accounting firms.
• Experience working within the banking industry.

Soft Skills Required:

• Collaborative team player who can also work independently.
