Job summary

OpenText is seeking a Principal Solutions Consultant for OpenText Business Network in Canada. You will lead technical qualification, design, and proposals for financial services opportunities, partnering with Sales and Delivery to drive payments, cash management, onboarding, real-time reporting, and global connectivity.

You will translate complex requirements into clear demonstrations, present to senior stakeholders, and guide customers through integration challenges using a broad cloud/SaaS

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in solution consulting, presales, or software delivery.
• Strong understanding of financial services integration needs, including payments, cash management, onboarding, compliance, and global messaging.
• Deep knowledge of B2B, API-based integration, and enterprise application integration.
• Familiarity with SaaS, EDI, REST, JSON, SWIFT, ISO 20022, SAML, SOA, AWS, and GCP.
• Exposure to platforms such as Gentran, Axway, Sterling, Volante, FIS, Finastra, Bottomline, MuleSoft, and GXS.
• Ability to simplify technical concepts for business leaders and financial services executives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Willingness to travel to support client engagements.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
• Bachelor’s degree required; industry certifications or financial services training preferred

Responsibilities

• Translate complex financial services requirements into clear solution proposals and demonstrations.
• Lead technical qualification, solution design, and proposal development for financial services opportunities.
• Partner with Sales to drive opportunity assessment, deal strategy, and account planning.
• Present to senior financial services stakeholders with clarity, confidence, and industry understanding.
• Respond to RFPs and RFIs with focused financial services content.
• Support proof-of-concepts with hands-on guidance, best practices, and troubleshooting.
• Work with Delivery to ensure smooth implementation transitions for financial services accounts
