Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of FP&A, financial analysis, or related finance experience.
• CPA designation or active CPA program enrollment.
• At least 1-2 years of hands-on accounting with budgeting, forecasting, and business-partnering.
• Advanced Excel and data-analysis skills with large datasets and complex financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for an assigned portfolio within organization-wide planning.
• Complete month-end reporting, reconciliations, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and variance analysis.
• Independently investigate material variances over $50,000 and explain drivers.
• Prepare business cases, program-funding analysis, and financial models for decisions.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify financial risks and opportunities.
• Analyze large datasets with Oracle and other reporting tools.
• Support internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and policies.

Our client, a large and respected healthcare organization, is seeking a Senior Financial Planning Analyst to support organization-wide planning while managing a designated financial portfolio. This permanent opportunity combines FP&A, accounting, analysis, and meaningful business partnership within a complex and purpose-driven environment.

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, youll work closely with finance leaders, program managers, directors, and senior executives. Youll help stakeholders understand their financial results, identify risks and opportunities, and make informed decisions that support essential programs and services.

Your Responsibilities

• Youll manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for an assigned portfolio while contributing to organization-wide planning.
• Youll complete month-end reporting, reconciliations, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and detailed variance analysis.
• Youll independently investigate material variances exceeding $50,000 and clearly explain the underlying business drivers.
• Youll prepare business cases, program-funding analysis, and practical financial models to support decision-making.
• Youll partner with operational leaders to identify financial risks, opportunities, and emerging business needs.
• Youll analyze large datasets using Oracle and other financial reporting tools.
• Youll support effective internal controls and compliance with applicable accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5- 8+ years of progressive FP&A, financial analysis, or related finance experience.
• CPA designation or active enrolment in the CPA program.
• At least 1 to 2 years of hands-on accounting experience, combined with budgeting, forecasting, and business-partnering expertise.
• Advanced Excel and data-analysis skills, including experience working with large datasets and complex financial systems.
• Oracle experience is an asset, although candidates with comparable ERP experience and strong technical aptitude are welcome.
• Healthcare, hospital, financial services, telecommunications, or another complex organizational background is an asset.
