Sobeys offers exciting opportunities, and we are always looking for talented individuals to join our team! Currently, we have a contract opening for a Senior Financial Analyst, Sourcing & Analytics, based in Stellarton, Nova Scotia.

*Please note that this is a contract role lasting approximately 28-30 months.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

• Work with Sourcing on budgets/forecasts and actuals for sourcing initiatives
• Collaborate with internal and external teams within finance and sourcing
• Develop repeatable processes for auditing complex supplier spend
• Analyze supplier contract compliance with Sourcing
• Work closely with leaders across the CFO organization
• Communicate and collaborate to resolve senior management questions
• Identify opportunities for process improvements for efficiency

What you have to offer:

• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Accounting/Finance
• A relevant university degree (Business with a focus in Accounting, Finance, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to anticipate issues and suggest solutions
• Teamwork and training abilities
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
• Ability to meet deadlines with attention to detail
• Experience managing sensitive information
• Experience with SAP

Preferred:
• CPA designation or working towards it
