Job summary

Ellos HR Solutions is partnering with a North York, Ontario manufacturer to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst. You will analyze production costs, prepare forecasts, and collaborate with operations to drive cost control and efficiency. Experience in Sage ERP and a CPA-aligned path is preferred, with 4–7 years in manufacturing finance.

The role focuses on month-end close, cost accounting, and cross-functional partnerships to support decision making in a high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• CPA designation preferred—CMA/CGA background also valued.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production costs, margins, and manufacturing variances.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.
• Partner with plant/operations leadership to support cost control and efficiency initiatives.
• Support budgeting, cost accounting, and inventory valuation processes.
• Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and senior management.

What You'll Do

• Analyze production costs, margins, and manufacturing variances (labor, material, overhead)
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts
• Partner with plant/operations leadership to support cost control and efficiency initiatives
• Support budgeting, cost accounting, and inventory valuation processes
• Conduct variance analysis and identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and audit support
• Work within Sage ERP (Sage X3 or similar) to extract, manage, and analyze financial data
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and senior management

What You Bring

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• CPA designation (or actively working towards it) preferred — CMA/CGA background also valued
• 4–7 years of progressive financial analysis experience
• Manufacturing/production environment experience is a must
• Hands-on experience with Sage ERP systems strongly preferred
• Strong Excel and financial modeling skills
• Sharp analytical mind with excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills — comfortable presenting findings to non-finance stakeholders
