KIT Recruitment is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for a global manufacturing client based in Mississauga, Ontario. The role partners with Commercial, Operations and Supply Chain to deliver financial insights driving strategic decisions.

The ideal candidate will analyze P&L performance, gross margins, costing, and manufacturing costs while supporting budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and KPI reporting in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA preferred or in progress.
  • Experience and skills in P&L, gross margin, inventory costing and manufacturing costs.
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report on divisional financial results with a focus on P&L performance, margins, and manufacturing costs.
  • Evaluate product, customer, and channel profitability to improve margins.
  • Support pricing, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial planning with financial analysis.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Build dashboards to monitor financial and operational KPIs.

Our global manufacturing client is seeking a commercially minded Senior Financial Analyst to partner closely with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain, providing financial insights that drive strategic business decisions.

This highly visible role will support a growing business unit by delivering meaningful analysis of financial performance, gross margins, pricing, product costing, and operational efficiency within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Senior Financial Analyst Details
  • Onsite in Mississauga, ON (GTA)

  • Partner with Commercial, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to support business performance.
  • Analyze and report on divisional financial results, with a strong focus on P&L performance, gross margins, profitability, and manufacturing costs.
  • Evaluate product, customer, and channel profitability while identifying opportunities to improve margins.
  • Support pricing decisions, budgeting, forecasting, and commercial planning through financial analysis.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting, journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with Operations to analyze production costs, inventory, yields, standard costing, and manufacturing variances.
  • Build dashboards and reporting tools to monitor financial and operational KPIs.
  • Evaluate ROI for promotions, capital investments, and new product initiatives.
  • Present financial insights and recommendations that support strategic business decisions.
Senior Financial Analyst Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA preferred or in progress.
  • 5–8 years of progressive Financial Analyst experience, or 3–5 years at the Senior Financial Analyst level.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of P&L, gross margin, inventory, costing, and operational finance.
  • Solid accounting foundation with exposure to month-end close, accruals, journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, pricing, and operational performance.
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial modelling skills.
  • Strong communication and business partnering skills across Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain.
  • Adaptable, hands-on, and eager to continue developing in a fast-paced environment
