Job description

The Canadian Tire FP&A team plays a critical role in enabling strong financial performance in an evolving retail environment. Reporting to the Manager, FP&A Petroleum & Partnerships, you will partner closely with the Petroleum team to understand results, deliver actionable insights, and influence business decisions.

This role combines financial analysis, business partnering, and storytelling with a strong focus on process improvement, automation, and building scalable FP&A tools that enhance the quality and efficiency of our deliverables.

What you'll do
  • Manage and take ownership of the end-to-end forecasting and budgeting process by collaborating with the Petroleum business and other functional groups across the organization
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, insightful commentary for financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities and support long-term outlook planning aligned to strategic priorities
  • Build and enhance financial models that enable faster, more reliable, and more insightful analysis
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline reporting, forecasting, and month-end processes
What you bring
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented while retaining focus on the "big picture", motivated to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Critical Thinking – ability to think through business problems holistically
  • Strong communication – ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization in a professional and competent manner
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas); experience with automation is an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong relationship-building and influencing abilities
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years business experience in an analytical field and solid understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements)
  • Familiarity with HFM, financial systems, or ERP environments considered an asset
  • University degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or Finance or equivalent

Our typical hiring range is between $64,000.00 and $106,000.00 CAD Annual. The target salary range is between $80,000.00 and $90,000.00 CAD Annual.
