Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation is seeking a Manager, FP&A – Real Estate to shape occupancy costs, capital investments, lease economics and portfolio performance. You will report to the AVP, FP&A, Real Estate and work with Real Estate, Finance and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include monthly/quarterly reporting, forecasting Real Estate P&L and balance sheet, and driving automation and standardized models to improve planning processes while coaching analysts and fostering inclusion.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5–7+ years of progressive finance, accounting, FP&A, or analytical experience, ideally with exposure to real estate, capital planning, project accounting, or cost management.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA considered an asset; strong financial modelling, forecasting and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare insightful monthly and quarterly reporting on performance drivers, risks, and opportunities for senior leaders.
  • Own forecasting and planning for Real Estate P&L and balance sheet, including lease and occupancy expenses, capital investments, cost capitalization, and intercompany transactions.
  • Work with Real Estate and cross-functional stakeholders to provide practical recommendations and strong financial analysis.
  • Coach analysts, set clear priorities, support development, and foster an inclusive team culture.
  • Work across FP&A, Real Estate, Accounting, and other partners to ensure key initiatives are reflected in plans and forecasts.
  • Help modernize reporting, forecasting, and planning through automation, standardized models, and self-service tools.

Job description

This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact FP&A role supporting one of Canadian Tire Corporation's most strategic and complex business portfolios. As Manager, FP&A – Real Estate, you will help shape decisions across occupancy costs, capital investments, lease economics, portfolio performance, and long-range planning.

Reporting to the AVP, FP&A, Mark's and Real Estate, this role offers strong exposure to Real Estate leaders, Finance partners, and cross-functional teams during a period of continued transformation.

Requirements
  • University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5–7+ years of progressive finance, accounting, FP&A, or analytical experience, ideally with exposure to real estate, capital planning, project accounting, or cost management
  • Professional accounting or financial designation (CPA or CFA), or a post-graduate degree (MBA) is considered an asset
  • Strong financial modelling, forecasting, and reporting skills
  • Power BI experience is an asset; working knowledge of PeopleSoft and Hyperion is an asset
  • Strong communication skills and ability to translate analysis into clear narratives for senior leaders
Compensation & Benefits

Broadband salary range: $81,000 – $131,000 CAD. Typical hiring range: $81,000 – $106,000 CAD. Comprehensive benefits, retirement programs, performance incentives, continuing education, product discounts, $5,000/year mental health benefits, and Canadian Tire Profit Sharing.

University degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field; 5–7+ years of progressive FP&A or finance experience; CPA, CFA, or MBA considered an asset; experience with real estate finance, capital planning, or cost management preferred
