Canadian Tire Corporation is offering a student internship in FP&A Innovation & Strategic Projects. You will work with a Senior Analyst to improve financial planning processes and support the execution of the True North Strategy.

You will collaborate with multiple CTFS business units to develop financial models, forecast, and analyze performance. The role includes preparing management reports and BI outputs while gaining exposure to strategic finance initiatives.

What You'll Do

As a member of the FP&A Innovation & Strategic Projects team, you will help in improving financial planning processes and supporting the execution of CTFS's True North Strategy. Your responsibilities include collaborating with business partners and the FP&A team to enhance and develop financial forecasting models. You will also work with various CTFS business units to create financial business cases aligned with their strategic objectives.

Additionally, you will participate in the monthly business review process, annual planning and forecasting cycles, and periodic projections throughout the year. You will work closely with corporate partners to advance key elements of Canadian Tire's True North Strategy.

• Collaborate with a Senior Analyst to update and create insightful management reports to enable business decisions
• Enhance and create Excel financial models aimed to simplify business processes
• Support financial services business cases for Canadian Tire's True North strategy.
• Create reports in Microsoft Power BI
• Develop a strong understanding of Canadian Tire Financial Services' strategy and financial results
• Support internal clients with ad hoc analysis requests

What You Bring

• Currently pursuing a university degree or college diploma in Finance/Accounting, Economics, Math, or another related discipline.
• Superior analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to collaborate across various levels within the organization.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (or the ability to learn these tools on the job).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI is considered an asset but is not required; online training is provided.
• Ability to work well both in a team environment and independently
• Outcome‑focused critical thinkers with the ability to analyze financial results and draw meaningful insights from financial information.
• Collaborative team players who build relationships easily across various stakeholder groups.
• Equipped with strong technical skills, capable of conducting simple to moderately difficult financial analyses, and adept at learning new financial software and systems with ease.

Broadband Salary Range: $23.00 - $37.00 CAD hourly

Our typical hiring range is between $23.00 and $30.00 hourly. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role‑specific requirements. We're committed to attracting top talent.
